House sale update:

Our house went on the market about 8:00pm on Saturday, March 23. We had multiple showings the next day, which is when we left for vacation. Our realtor called us on Sunday night (about 24 hours after it being on the market) saying that we had a full price offer. We accepted and inspection was done on Wednesday and we are now officially under contract with no contingencies. We close on April 30 and we must vacate here by May 3.

It moved incredibly fast! So many elements to be thankful for. Alice is going tomorrow most of the day to look at houses for us to buy. I'll be at work, of course, but she's the boss so if she doesn't like a house there is no need for me to see it.

It's pretty insane that were under contract in 24 hours from when the house went live on the MLS listing. We didn't expect that type of speed. But hey, we'll take it!

Congratulations, Perry! Full price offer closed with within 24 hours of listing, followed by no hitches on the inspections to remove conditions, is absolutely great! It can be incredibly stressful to have a house that won't sell, and that's always a worry when you list, so it's nice to hear you had the opposite happen for you.

April should be a great month too, and for me it's exciting not only because of everything going on here, but because I can finally announce my new "employer"! (I hear the new boss is a real slave driver)

Today was my final day selling mattresses. As of right now I'm in business for myself. I'll be going down two paths, basically. The first is through a DBA called Three Rivers Rideshare. I'm going to be doing full time delivery service and rideshares through Grubhub, Uber, Lyft, Postmates, Instacart. I've been developing that avenue for nearly a year and am at the point where I can take it full time. The second path is another DBA called Neal Cox Realty. I'm in the process of getting my Real Estate license and entertaining offers from brokers to start selling. My short-term plan - drive and deliver to pay the bills and feed us while I build the real estate business. My long-term plan - open my own real estate brokerage. I've been selling for other people for too long and dealing with the restrictions of corporate life. Time to break free!

Enough of that......let's have a fantastic April!

Excellent news to start the month, Neal! If you can sell people mattresses, you should have no trouble selling them houses to put the mattresses in...

Morning folks! I see a lot of stuff is already going on. Congratulations on the sale of you house Perry, same to Neal on starting your own company.
This month I will be focused on my blackbeauty, being adjustable April. I dont know how focused I will be, but most of my shaves should be with the black beauty. No arko, as I cannot find it in stores down here. I may have to through a stick in the Amazon cart. My B Day is this month so I may get some shave stuff.

I tried this once a long time ago, 2011 R41 with a Feather blade. It did not go very well so I never tried it again. Now years later I wanted to see if my skills had improved.

The shave was uneventful, an excellent shave with zero irritation. The only irritation is that this tub of Crowne and Crane will not die.

Good morning!

Excellent shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS with silent alum.

First use of the Arko shave stick. I didn't find the scent off putting at all. I colored my face until it felt as if I was just smearing soap rather than transferring anymore and ended up with enough lather for two full passes. The third pass was pretty thin but enough to get the job done.

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
Blade: Kai Captain Mild
Razor: RazoRock Black Hawk
Brush: Surrey badger
Soap: C.O. Bigelow
Post: Witch hazel, Country Club for Men Sweet Water aftershave

Easy shave with this setup. Two days of growth removed with comfort. I'm toying with using the Bigelow cream most of the month to try and use it up. One less thing to pack if I can, but we'll see. Nice shave overall.
