I am still working through a few partial creams, but reached for the Arko stick this morning. First shave since Friday's mishap. Nice enough, but nothing special to start the Month. Enjoy your day.

Started out April with a birth year Adjustable and Arko. As well, this is the first use of JR 228 which came generously from @Jayaruh as a prize in the last raffle. I’ve been a fan from afar of Jim’s Celtic-inspired laminates and was happy to get one. Whipped up a decent lather with the Cashmere knot and had 3 uneventful passes. The Bon Vivant did a good job of covering up the Arko.
    Have a great day, all!

And now, here it is: I really am pleased with this soap(Grandpa's Barbershop, from Central Texas Soaps). I look forward to my next CTS purchase, but it will be interesting to get used to the fact that the bentonite clay won't be present in it, as it is with my current soap. But I'm sure his replacement ingredients will keep to the tradition of a clean, comfortable shave. I used Clubman Special Reserve for the aftershave, to give it more of a feel(and smell)of a Western barbershop.

    April 1 SOTD:

    Razor: Gillette Diplomat
    Blade: Feather Hi-Stainless
    Brush: Razorock Plissoft
    Lather: West of Olympia Pride
Aftershave: Chatillon Lux Gratiot League Square
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Unscented PSB

First shave of April, and a shave with the Diplomat just seemed right. It is smooth and easy, and I did two passes for a DFS+. It was definitely different from the Starling. I used a sample of soap that was sent along with the brush from the raffle. This scent is different, as I get a spiciness to it along with a woody scent. There is a hint of sweetness to it as well. It is described as a Barbershop shop type scent, but it doesn't bring to mind any Barbershops I have been to. It is a nice scent, but just not what I would call a Barbershop. The performance seems to be pretty good, but I don't know that lathering in a locker room is truly a fair assessment. It was slick, but it seemed to take a bit to get the lather worked properly. I hope everyone has a great day!
