Great shave Andrew! That is the most aggressive shavette as far as I am concerned. I never tried the Fromm Hairshapers, but I have used the Personnas for my Dovo Shavette. Personna Hairshapers are sharper and smoother than the Fromms. Have you tried the Personna hairshaper in that Weck? One last thing, I love the Veg. and Arko!

yes, I have used the Personna blades, but I prefer the Fromm blades in this razor. I can get more shaves from the Fromm blades, as they seem last longer.
I also agree with you, this razor is very aggressive! I think that’s why I love it so much. If your technique is off, it will let you know!

I’m pretty much an exclusive Arko user! I do you other soaps/creams, but not often.
As far as the Veg. goes, this is the 1st bottle of it I have ever used. I just picked it up a week or so ago. I stayed away from it, because I know a lot of people don’t care for it. I sure wish I would have picked some up years ago, as I really enjoy it. The other evening, my wife asked “what’s the new scent”? She said, she likes the way it smells too!

Wow, that is an impressive razor, when did you acquire it?

It is NOS and I bought about 6 months ago. I don't think it will soften up, it does not feel like a new boar but more like a 'best badger'. Maybe I should research how to make the gel tips and see if I that improves it.

Big-name shave for Friday: Tabac, M&F and Iwasaki 6/8. An excellent shave, had some time so even did the extra WTG pass to finish it off. Today's juice is Dior Bois d'Argent.

 

Pick some up! I wish I hadn’t of waited so long to do so.
