Nice, sophisticated goo shave this morning with Barbasol. I squeezed out enough from the can for 2 passes, but stuck with the one. In future shaves, I may experiment with varying the grain direction. I do that anyway on North Porcupine Alley(under the nose). Against on the edges, With down the middle. I could have done better up there this morning, but it can wait til tomorrow. Cheeks&sideburns fine. Ditto jawline. Cactus Nation was all right, but I could have done better. Perhaps too much focus around Ingrown Swamp to skip other sections. Th good news is No Cuts, No Knicks, No Polka-dots. Very Excellent.

    g-4 slim
    platinum
    semogue 830
    taconic
    chiseled face

    good morning gents
trouble free 2 passer with the slim on #4..
nice weight and balance, smooth and efficient..but boring..
like a slant 6 dart or 60's sedan, gets the job done.
yes, many folks think a tech is like that also-pedestrian in manner,
but a tech takes a little more technique to achieve the result, without the racing stripes.
not a fan of the slim aesthetically,or it's longer handle.
same goes for most any gillette 1960 or up.
    marks a time of ..cheaper;)

lovely taconic lather built with the solid semogue 830 boar
    chiseled
face natural aftershave to finish.feel the burn..:D

    awesome.
    have a great day everyone.

Great Gillette shave Gary! I certainly understand why you think that way. I prefer my Fatboy over my Slim.

IMG_20220402_210842_145.jpg Shave 17/30. I wasn't going to shave this weekend, but I just could not skip it. I did not shave the moustache area to avoid reopening the nick I had last time.
I shaved right after the sauna, which happens to be the best prep for me. It was a cold water shave, as usual, and everything went very well.

    Have a great evening, gentlemen!

Excellent shave, pic and setup. Before I saw your post, I already picked my setup for tomorrow's shave. I will be using my Semogue Super Badger Brush.

Thanks, Joe! Semogue makes some great brushes. Haven't tried a badger though, but I'm sure it's a fantastic brush!

thank you Joe.i've had a couple of fatboy razors and passed them on.i like the slim over the fatboy due to the slimmer head-under nose shaving-techs are the best for this imo.but having a trimmed goatee now deems that somewhat irrelevant. I still like a single purpose razor, coffee flavored coffee.etc.not a one razor fits all approach.. keeps the skill in check..;)
