A Plisson and no glass bottle of AV:rolleyes: I guess they don't sell American glass at the Paris Saint Germain Shaving Store huh. Well I've turned into a Booster man , if you want this glass bottle , got it from Walmart some years back, I can send it to ya. Let me know if you want it, it just sits in the den.:D

Truth be told Hanzo, till last year my kit wasn't anything to write home about, I had to use a knockoff of AV called Swan. I was king of the cheap shave on that other forum with the largest social group known as the "Dollar General Shave" before I deleted it and asked to have my account banned. As you can see in the pic, this was my gear for over a year :)

I'm sure you can understand why I ditched the AV when I finally got paid.

I think my CVS has some of the glass bottled AV left covered in dust, if not I will take you up on your offer!

Oh, and I still have much love for the combination ;)

I remember the Penny Pinchers Shavers subforum well , it was the only one I joined and enjoyed, always dispensed excellent leads on shave stuff and with that one shavers could talk about goods they could actually get . Since then the vendor explosion and more imports have brought prices way down, availability is more widespread .

They changed the formulation of the Aqua Velva when they switched from glass to plastic bottles?

I like AV Original Sport (Green) as a cooling body splash for hot days

But for my face, I use AV Ice Balm

    thevez2 uses Gillette's new Tarantula Razor - 8 blades!!

I saw it at a drug store once, but didn't pick it up because I thought it was too expensive. I found it here too: http://www.medshopexpress.com/085289.html

I wish whoever makes AV would realize what a sales boon they'd have (probably) if they reintroduced truly manly scents like the old Redwood and others to complete with the Axe-type crap sold today.

You ain't kidding. I had a tiny 1.75 oz bottle of Redwood (couldn't stand the smell) that I sold on the bay a few weeks back. I did well to put it lightly. There is money in it even if it isn't for rare scents.

I've never smelled it but I do like woodsy scents...do you think the bottle was off, or it just never smelled very good at all?
