I just might. I have found that arko face loaded likes a stiffer brush so I'll probably pull out my boar brush and stick my synthetic up for a day or 2.
I've been on a Route 66 kick and it really likes my synthetic brush. I wasn't able to get a decent 2nd pass when I used the pig. I'm puzzled because I can lather Williams into a decent 3 pass shave.
Just ordered a tube of LaToja. Going to be out of town most of next week for work, so I likely won't see it til next weekend. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I did but I don't have to when I use the synthetic. My pig hogs a bit. I might condition it and see if it isn't just a bit dry.
I got my LaToja cream tube today. It was way too early for me to shave, but I rubbed a bit on my hands and just rinsed/washed: It had a very mild retro smell (I am horrible with scents), and if anything, had a bit of a fresh tobacco smell. Very enjoyable, and the slickeriness on my hands was encouraging!! Will report Monday/Tuesday. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I just got mine a couple days ago. I'll bet that you will really enjoy this cream! It's really slick. And if you don't like it; I'll step up and offer to take it off your hands
I will likely use it for Sunday, and am planning to pack it for next week's dopp. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Since I really liked the La Toja but liked the stick format less than the mug, I pulled the Buck 110 knife from my drawer tonight and cut the stick into thin slices and pressed them into my early 06 Old Spice mug. I know, blasphemy, but I'm happier and that's what this is all about.
I don't care for the La Toja creams but I do like the stick a lot. I love the Arko stick and several of the creams.
As strictly a face latherer now, i have fallen in love with shave sticks. They are a very efficient non-messy way of shaving. I'm thinking of purchasing all the glacial samples from Stirling and mashing them into shave sticks.
