Arko - what can I say?

Its probably just as good either way. I got hooked on the almost magical appearance of thick lather after rubbing it on my face.....

 

I think Trey rubs the stick on hi face......it makes it much easier to bite off a hunk

I spread it on crackers. Or on bread with a little jelly.

 

Lol- I might be afraid to discover that the $1 stick performs as well as the $70 tub.

At the very least the MDC should win the smell contest.

 

But...how will you know if you don't like it as a stick if you don't try?

You might want to consider seeing a doctor about that.

 

I did, he decreased the dosage and increased my alternative soap consumption.

 

Try a small Ziploc container. The lids seal, the containers are inexpensive, stackable and work well. You can easily fit two Arko sticks into one container.

 

Just bought a puck at Pastor' s last week for 2.99. Did a test lather and couldn't believe the lather. Cant wait to try it and hope it tastes as good as it smells.

 

Great tallow based soap with a fresh clean scent. For variety, try using it traditionally by rubbing the stick on your face and face lathering. Works great that way too, enjoy!

 

That's how I use it, but instead of the short end I rub the length of it like a bar of soap.

It is quick, easy and I get a great shave using it.

 

Arko, the toilet block of the gods! I am definitely not a fan of the scent. I find it drying and irritating, and there is no moisturizing component.
I know it's cheap, but there is better out there. It's almost as bad as reading about guys who use toilet soap....YMMV yadda yadda yadda....

If you're going to face lather it - which I truly recommend - just be sure that before you start rubbing the stick against your face that your face is WET. I don't mean a little damp - I mean WET I personally found that to make a world of difference

 

+1 what @Darkbulb said and it also doesnt hurt to wet the tip of the stick before applying it. If you think the scent is too strong, you can also open it up about 1/2 hour or so prior to using it and it will air out.

It is great soap and face lathering it is the only way to go! IMO. It is so cheap, I was almost gonna buy me another 12 pack to stock up!

I want to try but I am afraid I will get some serious irritation.

 

Bigmark, I got serious irritation when using Proraso but my face has settled down with the Arko. For me this will be my only soap for quite some time.
