I wonder if there is a more economical way to order Van Yulay samples. It seems a waste to pay $17 in shipping for $5 worth of samples.
Does Mitchell's Wool Fat count? If not, how small does a soapmaker have to be in order to be considered artisan?
I don't know that it is made by an artisan, but if it isn't commercially made like TOBS, T&H, etc. I think it counts.
The only artisan soap I have is Don Marco by RR which I like very much and will be using tomorrow, but not all of April.
I just tried Mickey Lee Soapworks- Reunion yesterday. Has a green peppery scent and wonderful lather quality.
The folks at Razor Emporium where I purchased the soap said that the matching AS is fantastic. It's on my short list of wants. Thank you for the info. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Do they have a storefront or did you get it online. I'm in the East Valley, but I would be willing to make the trip out West if it means I could finally check out some of the PAA scents before committing the funds.
Storefront. They are just east of the 17 and off of Peoria. Small store however they told me they are looking to move more downtown into a much larger location. Very nice people there. When I bought the Gondolier they probably had 6-7 other PAA scents in stock. The soap itself is fantastic, 5 swirls on the soap and I have more than enough lather for 3 passes. The scent is very nice but it doesn't linger long, protects great. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Good to know. I've chatted with Matt a little on the AZ Shavers facebook page, but never thought to ask if they had a storefront. My wife has been wanting to buy me a few aftershaves, so maybe we'll have to make the trip over.
I used Ginger's Garden Salty Mariner Vegan shaving soap the past two days. Really great stuff. The rest of this week I'll be using Country Club for Men Cahaba Blues shaving soap, also a tremendous product.

you are my next artisan soap (well, just soap in general)...I have been wanting to try TSD soap for way to long and for whatever reason I havent yet, I am sad to admit that...I have a weird thing where if you take me to a ice cream store that only has chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry I will get strawberry every time..but, I went into baskin robbins I would walk out with nothing...however, I have learned which scent profile's I like now.
From what I hear, TSD soaps are quite good. But FYI they are made by JoAnna (Queen of Blades) not me.
