Gotcha. Signed up for newsletter to receive updates on SS General, stalking FB lol. RAD Mode Engaged.

USPS surprised me today with an early delivery of my Timeless! If you don't have one yet, all I can say is "Believe the Hype". I probably should have waited until tomorrow when I start my 30 Day Odyssey, but c'mon, who could wait when it's sitting right there?!? Incredibly smooth in scalloped 0.68, titanium weight is perfect for me. Handle is just the right length, chubby, and surprisingly grippy. Like my ex-wife :D

Lathered up some of the Timeless/Oleo Soapworks soap Matt from Timeless was generous enough to toss in the shipping box, and got cracking. The soap was a pleasant surprise! I won't drone on about it, but will simply say it's a superb soap at a great price. I've already got my order together for a few more soaps from Oleo. Just try it.

Carefull attention to the fundamental principles of pressure, angle, skin stretching and most importantly for me, SLOWING DOWN yielded a DFS+ in three passes (WTG, XTG, XTG) with an irritation level of about 1 on a scale to 10. This is ordinarily where I'D stop and be very satisfied with the result, especially with virtually no irritation on my neck. Throwing caution to the winds, I proceeded to make a fourth very cautious pass ATG. After a little buffing, The Baby is mine. My first DE Baby. My entire face is BBS and an alum pass yielded only a tiny squeak from my lower right side neck. A squeak, mind you, not a shriek.

This may be a case where careful homework regarding the shaving characteristics of a razor as experienced by a community at large can be translated into a relatively educated and informed purchase. The Timeless in 0.68 scalloped seems to be the plate for me at this time, and at the end of a 30 day Focus, I can only expect the trend to continue and improve. REALLY looking forward to the next 30 days with this razor.

Congrats on the Timeless. I agree they are the real deal with exceptional build quality and craftsmanship. You'll really have the Timeless dialed in after 30 days.

It's like you put a cup of instant coffee in a microwave and it traveled backwards in time! 30 Days Focused into one shave? That straight razor technique applies to all shaving. Good show Sir!

So I really haven't been posting shave reports lately, but here's what's going on. I had long since decided I wasn't about to shell out the bucks for the Rockwell 6s, but when they introduced their chrome plated 6c at $50, I picked one up. After a few shaves swapping plates and blades, I have discovered that a Voskhod paired with plate #3 provides one of the finest shaves I have ever had. I've used this combo for a few shaves now, and I have pushed it to the extreme. I've gone over spots multiple times without relathering, I've slid, hooked and buffed, and I just cannot make it irritate my skin. The alum is like rubbing a glass block on my face. Smooth BBS finishes. I'd put it up there with my Weber as my go to razor.

The Rockwell is for sure one of the top couple DE's I have ever tried.
