    August 25th
    Razor: Timeless .95 SC
    Blade: Personna Platinum Chrome (1)
    Brush: Switchback/TGN Grade A Silvertip
    Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated
Soap: CK Atomic Age Bay Rum
    Stirling Bay Rum witch hazel
AS: CK Atomic Age Bay Rum

    Good evening, gents!

Thirty consecutive shaves with the Timeless .95 complete. Awesome shave this evening! Two pass with light touch up, BBS result. Exceptional finish to my focus!

I used Stirling Bay Rum witch hazel for the first time tonight. It started with a tingle and quickly became a full on face fire! It didn't last long nor did it cause any redness. I kinda liked it. What I expected and didn't get from the CC Cat O'Ninetails aftershave.

I'm going to join in on Adjustable August to finish out the month.

    Have a great night! [IMG]

Great picture and lineup Jim. You guys with the Bay Rum. I ordered some more Bay Rum Aftershave.

    August 26 Plans

    G3 Gillette Fatboy
    Rapira Platinum Lux (1)
JR #160 Louisville Slugger handle with Omega 10098 boar knot
    Le Père Lucien - unscented
Alum, Thayers Lavender witch hazel, Trumper Coral Skin Food, and unrefined shea butter

The Fatboy shaves early tomorrow morning...however you want to think about it. ;) I'm excited to try another new-to-me Russian blade from my @NCoxSTL goodie bag, the Rapira Platinum Lux. In Neal's honor, the Fatboy will remain wide open, and I'll go for my normal two-pass shave. All the reviews I've read on this blade are favorable, so I'm expecting great results. I believe the same company that makes Voskhod blades (very good blades) also makes Rapira, so that's another good sign. Neal, please correct me if I'm wrong on this.

By the way, Rapira is a name for a computer programming language and an anti-tank gun. I hope neither term describes tomorrow's shave.

We had a beautiful day today - relatively cool temps (a gift in August) with just a few sprinkles. I've been on a movie kick this week. My Bride and I saw Skyscraper today, and it was a good action thriller.

    Have a fantastic Sunday!

I have a Delta Echo New LC, and I love it. Unlike my razor, adjustables have inner working parts, and I was curious if they all got coated. I suspect not unless the razor was completely disassembled, but I don't know for sure.

Great shave setup Charlie. I hope the new blade works out better than the last.

I just took for granted they were disassembled. Now that I think about it, I am not sure. Great question.

Sometimes, I really dislike this thread. I needed another Bay Rum about as much as a hole in my head, but I have one coming now, too.

I am sorry. I should have avoided adult beverages. At least that was my only purchase so far today.

At both Delta Echo and North Shore Razors (another excellent coating shop), the razor is completely disassembled, any minor adjustments that are needed are made, then all the parts are sprayed and cooked and the razor is reassembled and tweaked as needed. So the insides are fully coated.

Beautiful set up, Jim, and I see the label reflection in the bottom plate of the razor. That's a very cool effect.

It is interesting to see that your aftershave was aged in oak. Can you tell if this impart any notes to the scent? The boys here in my neck of the woods age other things in charred white oak barrels for aroma, taste, and color.

The Lux is my favorite Moscow blade Charlie, I used one today in my Leresche for a very nice smooth shave.

Thanks, John, for clearing this up. That's another good reason to have an adjustable Cerakoted. The inner workings get a revamp, and I bet the action turns out be much smoother.

My sense of smell isn't sophisticated enough to pick out all the different scents used. I can say they all work together in this aftershave. It's an excellent bay rum.
