Great photo and report, Jared! Our back deck is mosquito central right now. Perhaps some Electric Sheep is in order. I could rub a little bit of the splash on my legs and ward them off.

Thank you, Charlie. This is a serious win for Blackland. The Blackbird was my all time favorite DE razor, and I sold both of mine when I pretty much quit using DE’s altogether. I felt the Dart was practical enough to sit on the rack for the most part.

The Dart has some sleek lines that give it the aesthetics a modern should have (in my book), and some of the same handling characteristics as the Blackbird (narrow sweet spot). IMO, this isn’t an aggressive razor as much as it’s not a beginners razor.

Shane has come out with two DE razors now that have very low to mid blade exposure, and low to mid gap, that people are comparing to the most aggressive razors on the planet. It only leaves angle and technique.

    TLDR: Thanks, Charlie.

Got a couple acres mowed before the predicted rain didn't happen. Showered off the dust and clippings and set about my shave. Trio of mentholated products that will be refilled when used up performed as expected. Jason's turned LE handle is from a tree just 150 feet from my present location. Pulled the once used Hi-Stainless blade from the Futur clone and popped it into the Fat Boy. Closed the doors, then thought about others playing with their adjustments. I loosened the TTO, dropped down to #6, and didn't like the effect. Loosened the TTO & back to number nine. Second stroke of my WTG pass and I felt the slight hesitation and tug as I passed over the mole on my left cheek. Never happens... unless I forget to tighten down the TTO. Argh. Glad it was a fresh clean blade. Blood on nickel plated brass. Otherwise a very enjoyable procedure, except for the styptic left at home.
    Good Shaves Y'all!

Great set up, Rick, and a nice way to wind down after a day of mowing. I'm sorry about the injury. I've done the same thing by shaving with loose TTO doors. Now I check mine frequently when I'm shaving with my vintage Gillettes. I've got a couple where the doors creep open during the shave. (I'm not the only 56 year old creep in the house. :))

I've been using my Fatboy for about six weeks, and I haven't moved it off 5 yet as it working well for me.
