I’ll be a bachelor late next week and weekend. My wife is flying out to visit Asha in Tempe.

I do have Wade coming to visit which means I need to really watch my beer consumption and internet purchases.

    Shave Report - Day 2

Gillette (Flat Bottom) Fat Handle Tech (Made in England)
    Astra SP (2nd use)
    Bluebeard Doubloon Boar Brush
    Palmolive Shave Stick
    Nivea Sensitive Post-Shave Balm

A little late in the day with my shave report, though I did shave first thing this morning! Busy day at our nephew's first birthday party, bless him - he didn't really have a clue what was going on, but he smiled all day long at the fuss made over him!

Back to the shave. I hydrated the lather more than yesterday, and the result was a slick covering that remained 'wet' for each full pass. The first pass was WTG (N-S on face and S-N on neck). The Tech makes it feel like there is no blade in there! The second pass was an XTG (ear to chin) on my cheeks, ATG (ear to chin) on the jaw line (though this was modified to an aggressive XTG/ATG hybrid when I felt some tugging), WTG (S-N) on my neck, and ATG (S-N) under my chin - I was careful here to ensure that I did nothing more than make it visibly clean.

All in all, a very comfortable shave with yet more reduction in irritation on my neck. I ended up with one tiny weeper underneath my bottom lip which was stemmed by the cold water rinse. I can say with 100% certainty that my main causes for irritation these past months has been my pressure, and my over shaving spots with no lather.

Wonderful shave and picture, and some wonderful enabling in favour of SE razors there!

Thank you, John. I got it at a Barbershop in Houston a while back. It wasn't the cheapest cream I had ever bought, but it wasn't terribly expensive either. The scent is awesome, though. I turned my dad onto it, and it is about all he uses now.

What new razors or brushes do you think you will end up with? :D

If you don't mind me asking, how much do Superior Lather Catchers go for your side of the pond? They're not really available here in the UK!

@clint64 How many shaves do you get out of a Feather Professional injector blade?

In general I get 7-10 or so. I have gotten as high as 14 out of a Feather Super

I only ask because they are very pricey in comparison to DE blades!
