Thank you, Jason! Great shave on your end as well. I scrolled down and saw the Gentleman balm and thought "Jason must be traveling again". Very nice.

I'm in complete agreement with you, Clint.
I don't have a huge collection of razors but I don't own a single one that doesn't allow the blade to contact skin.

Saw those, too. I wonder if how they are turning the handles had changed. Often, medallions are used to cover up a screw chuck (or similar) hole. You see a small wood plug on wooden handles sometimes doing the same thing.

Last week, I stopped at a barber shop named Vinny's. Now, I don't need to use a barber because I shave my head, etc. I went because my old barber's son, Vinny, is also a barber and took a chance that it was them. Yes, it was! I haven't seen Joe the barber in 15 years. It was a nice little reunion. I said, I will stop by next week to have more time to reconnect. Today, I saw Joe the barber with his friends. I told him that I took up straight razor shaving and he was flabbergasted. He was telling me that it is difficult to do and you have to be talented, etc. I said that I shave with a straight 24 hrs ago and he was impressed. I said can I come right back and show you my collection. He agreed. I came back and showed him my brushes, my shavette and my 11 straights. He was in awe and he said he never saw a collection like mine. He liked my big razors and he was doing the arm test to check their sharpness. We share Jesus and now straight razors. I wanted a professional's opinion on my collection and was glad that he appreciated it. Joe is an Italian barber with 50 + years experience so he definitely knows quality razors. It's funny, but he admitted that he doesn't shave his own face with a straight because he says it is difficult to do. I said with the thousands of shaves you have done, I am sure you can do it. I said, if I can do it with less than 1 yr experience and only shaving my face, then you can do it. Mind you, he is 78 years old. Anyway, it was great to see him. He has my number and we are going to meet again because he wants to show me his collection. I am stoked! It was a nice reunion.

Wow, Jim. Acquiring more than 3000 blades in less than 2 years! Impressive! And @NCoxSTL is flirting with 3000 blades! Here I sit with less than 2600 stinkin' blades. Minimalism is not all that it's cracked up to be. I hang my head in shame. :happy097:

@Terry has probably gone through a couple of tucks of Feathers just today. :happy102:

I have many long-time friends that live in mid-Michigan, Joe. They are former coworkers that I used to see on my trips to Midland, MI. I could probably round up some friends to help with the BLT and the Banana Split. It would be more fun that way. In fact, I'm starting to think about a road trip. :)
