    Missed this one. You are more familiar with metallurgy and such.

    I can mostly report on how it shaves and looks. :)While the labeling on the blade definitely shows ‘Real German Hollow Ground’....looking at the blade’s profile, sure looks closer to half hollow, possibly 3/4 hollow (or in between). Other Solingen blades I have absolutely thinner and sing while shaving. The Toyo 777 shaves with a scrunch sound of buttering toast. Hope that helps my description a little.
