Happy Sunday Everyone. Since the Cella bowl is somewhat small and difficult to load the soap, I decide to experiment and made a shave stick. I used to do this with almost all my softer soaps. After wetting my face I rubbed the Cella shave stick over my face and went to work with the T3. I had a wonderful rich and slick lather in no time. Three passes and touch ups caught the baby with ease. A splash of Floid Blue and a spritz of Habit Rouge left me feeling and smelling great. I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday.

    Good morning!

Awesome Adjustable/Arko shave to start the day and start the month! Ambassador set at 1 leaves a small but maintainable effective angle when I pay attention. I noticed some stubble left along my right jaw during my final rinse. Plenty of soap in the brush and the razor was there so I went back for some touch-up. One smooth swipe with skin stretching and focus on the angle cleared the stubble. A lapse in technique caused the miss the first time.

I've found with all my adjustable razors that the effective angle at the lowest setting is the same effective angle at every setting, it just takes better technique at the lower settings.

I'm seriously considering this to be my last SOTD post in the thread. I have nothing to add that I haven't said before. I consider you all my friends and I'll hang out for the comraderie and shenanigans for as long as you'll have me.

    Have a great day!

Lovely RA shave and photo, Jim. You shaved at the lowest setting and me at the highest! I just love that blade feel. We’ll miss your excellent photography, but it will still be nice to have you around!

I wouldn't have missed that spot along my jaw at the highest setting. Bigger gaps are easier to use.

Wonderful shave and photo Jim. I agree with you on adjustable settings. The lower settings do require better technique to get the same results. I will miss your posts on a daily basis but I understand. In fact I took a break from the 30DC for several months a couple of years back. I have been thinking about taking another break as well.

Well, fellas, I began this month by calling an all-around audible as I headed for the shower. It got quite cold last night and I forgot to turn the heat up prior to going to bed. I switched the shave over to Central Texas Soaps Grandpa's Barbershop followed up by Clubman Original A.S. That warmed me up a lot. Going along just fine during the first pass until....A CUT at the "usual" place mid-NW Porcupine Alley.. Fine everywhere else, as I tried to keep the focus on the shave, not the cut. I really needed it(a shave)bad alongside the area from the jawline down a bit to NW Cactus Nation. Oh man, I don't want anything bad growing along there(y'know, like ingrown hairs. ). Nice work. The Clubman A.S. preceded by the cold-water rinse knocked out the cut. Awwwwriiight! Super Duper Excellent. Apologies to my "likers" of my planned shave before the audible.

Where are you at that it got cold enough to run the heater? That's where I want to be!! This Mississippi heat and humidity is oppressive and exhausting and the older I get, the worse it seems to get.

I ran the heater this morning-it just didn't occur to me to run it last night. It's been a little cool-ish of late. And I'm with you-whatever the weather is it is that much MORE so when we reach old age(well, I'm 64, but the body has begun to feel it).I've lived the humidity of Washington, DC....back then I said "it just can't get worse than this", but I guess it can, huh?

I decided to start the month with Arko. I knew it was a great soap, but I was really impressed with it when I used it for a headshave for the very first time not too long ago. It lathers well and is super slick. It smell like a nice, clean bar of Ivory soap to me. I did 2 passes with a neck touch up for a BBS shave. For some reason, I had to do a Gillette slide on my right neck to get it right. On the first pass (WzTG), I did get a tiny weep dot, but the alum eradicated it very quickly.
Did my normal post shave ritual and ended with a generous splash of Old Spice. Have a wonderful Sunday, guys!
