I recently made my second Axe bath gel purchase. (still no girls chasing me though!) this one is dark blue with menthol and mint. Wow, menthol and mint!!! I got to buy it. Well the scent is...why kids buy it, not so much for me. the menthol mint kick? very minor and not nearly as good as Izzy's peppermint or Nancy Boy Invigorating soaps.
Phoenix is the only scent I'll use, and even then, I only use the body wash, which barely leaves a scent. I became a fan of Old Spice a couple years ago, and now that is mainly what I use as far as body wash or spray, and I just switched to Old Spice deodorant as well. Axe is clearly marketed to teens, and hey, if it makes some teens feel better about themselves/give them slightly more confidence, who am I to judge? but some dudes will routinely use the spray as a quick cover-up instead of using something decent like febreze or lysol, or you know, being clean, or will just molest themselves with the spray to the point where the scent makes you sick.
Chocolate is their best smelling scent followed by the phenix one. Not saying the product is the best, but after a fee hours of soccer a quick spray is good to mask the smell until you can get showered and cleaned up.
Yeah, the scent is like toothpaste or something, I bought one bottle of it, my staple is the Rise body wash... Rise, is the closest thing to "Lime" you're going to find in a grocery store that somewhat resembles "Lime" the body spray however is enough to make you want to gag and die. :happy102
I used to use Axe a lot, but now I can't stand it. I stick with Old Spice for Deodorant, and I don't get spray on D-O.
Not a fan at all. Most of the ones around here I see using it, does so to replace showers and use it to cover up nasty body odor. Or youngsters who have yet to learn the old saying "less is more". Either way it's not for me. But if you like it, more power to you. If we all liked the same things it would be a boring world.
I have moved on to Old Spice Fiji, I think the Body Spray actually smells quite good, its not synthetic at all and its in no way over powering...
Another thing about Axe is that it gave me a serious underarm rash. Pretty bad. That was another turn-off for me.
Aaaah Axe. Brings back memories of being on the open road with the guys, going 95 miles an hour in a van, breathing in the country air - and then choking to death as both my nose and mouth are filled with the sensation of my bandmates dousing themselves in terrible smelling Axe product. ugh. To be fair though, some of Old Spice's spray scents are equally disgusting. A friend of mine and I were on the road, and as I was in charge of grabbing breakfast and he was in Walmart I asked him to pick me up some Old Spice spray. Came back with Swagger. Terrible.
