Yea, I had it too. the Silver one. My dad has it now. Old spice smelled good but the Noxema (red can) worked the best for me.
True, True. Also, Gillette came out with a "Barbershop-scent" foam as well, which had a good scent. Was using that for a while, then switched to the new edge gel when it came out. Then back to old spice (sensitive version - with the aloe vera)
I'm with you on the Aveeno. Best gel on the market for me. I still have a can I use for a fast one pass touch up shave. Currently using it as a pre-lather very successfully.

lately I have been turned on to The Gentleman's Quarter soaps. 'Effin crazy value for the quality and scent. Then there are SCS, Honeybee, and Mama Bear. Also insane quality/scent for the money. While I am a fan of Harris and T&H etc, I find myself reaching for something from the above mentioned four more often than not. There is much to be said for triple milled, but words cannot describe the wonder from these handmade glycerin soaps. Anyone wanting to enjoy some luxury on a budget (or on an unlimited account even) should really try some of these soaps. Cheap shaving need not be limited to williams et al...
