Today's Barbasol Shave. I thought I loved the Soothing Aloe before, but it was awesome with my new Simpsons Tulip 3 and my new Georgetown Pottery G12 scuttle.
This week I've used my Barbasol Original with my Schick Simplified Automatic C3 repeater ...and My Barbasol Arctic Chill with my Schick I2 Hydro-magic with a Proline B-20 blade. Both these combinations rendered perfect BBS's with no irritation and no work either...Very easy to obtain great results.
Are you doing a whole month of Barbasol?? If you are....I might have to join you... This was todays set-up: I just realized......those Proline B 20 blades remind me very much of the old Schick Platinum Plus blades...So this shave was very much a time warp to the late '60's for me....and looking at this picture...This could be a shot from then aswell...}8^))
You know I've have stated a number of times that I think all the Barbasol flavours are equal. Equal thickness, lubricating, skin protecting, skin conditioning, etc.. But today I broke out my can of Extra Moisturing which I haven't used since it's Maiden Voyage. I used it once, loved it and filed it under the sink, and proclaimed all Barbasols are equal! And to save sink top space I only leave out two cans...The Original Formula and Arctic Chill. And of course, Barbasol has the Guiness Book Record for how much product you can get in a can, so I haven't emptied either of the two cans I keep out. Well today I broke out the Purple can of Extra Moisturising, I IT KNOCKED ME OUT! I think it is maybe a tad thicker and it has sooo much protection and lube, I could not feel the blade at all! And I like to feel the blade...I love it, but I also LOVE this Barbasol flavour aswell! I think I'm gonna be using this daily for a while....What a nice way to spoil your face!
Definitely...but great in the Summer too....Replenishing skin after sun and swimming....Or in some of our cases, anytime when replenishing skin that isn't all that young ....Man, 24 hours later my facial skin felt soft and revitalized....I might put in on my forehead too....I don't only want my lower face looking younger!!I'll just have to be careful not to shave my eyebrows off
Ok, ran across this section, and remembered I had a can of this stuff in the closet. I haven’t used anything from a can in years. used to use it occasionally when I shaved with my SE razors. I used it tonight, and it was a nice change. If anyone is wondering why the top of the can is missing it’s because I have a hot lather machine that the can fits into. Makes the lather nice and warm. Today's Father's Day Shave....Barbasol gets the nod. Have a Great One Everybody!! Pictures can be decieving...I did not use that brush or any brush. I prefer using my hand with the Barbasol. I also didn't use all those after shaves, lol...Just a splash of Skin Bracer and a splash of Clubman..
I just bought a can of the extra moisturizing SC for my weekday 3am shaves when I need to shave quickly. I still use my Semogue SOC brush to apply the lather. I rotate between it and the orange, and yellow cans. It's good stuff. Clayton Sent from my LG-K450 using Tapatalk
