Colorado has both City Market and King Soopers. Both are Kroger, but City Market tends to be in rural areas I think. They are essentially identical
I bought some of the barber pole Barbasol a couple of months ago. I shaved with it but didn't get a good shave. It seemed thick and not very slick. Can you thin it out with water a little bit? I think some of you spray some in a bowl and then work with a brush with some water, correct?
the thickness of it is what has begun to get me. I may try it again one of these days just to compare the shave to that I've been getting with the slickness of Rise and Noxema.
Make sure your face is wet first! I haven't felt this way about it... In fact it's becoming my first choice for straight shaves.
I may have to withdraw my name as a Barbasol Brotherhood member. It's a classic and timeless shave cream, of course, but I find I do bettter with slicker feeling creams(Rise, Noxema). I may set up Sundays as "Barbasol Sunday", however.
I had to get my wife and kids some space cream for a craft of some sort, so I picked up a can of Barbasol. I gave it a try this morning, and it was better than I thought it would be. I'll be trying it again. SEptember 6 SOTD: Barbasol Original SC Schick Type C3 Stirling Unscented PSB Clubman AS
I did that. Straight from the can it seemed too fluffy and a bit dry. I like a wet lather of the type favored by SR and shavette shavers. Shooting a bit into a shave bowl, punching the air out with a moistened brush brings it to just the way I like it. YOMV
Fortunately it's an inexpensive product and if you don't like it, pass the can to a friend, neighbor, or homeless shelter.
Oh, I'll work it in on occasion-like "Barbasol/TSD Sunday" perhaps. Course as it gets chillier, I'll shelve the TSD until next spring.
I'm going to try that process here soon. I've got my next few soaps mapped out. Perhaps this weekend I'll give it a go. I agree that it was too thick and too dry for me.
I was just wondering if the feel of it would change the name to "Barbasol On Steroids"(that is, the power of Barbasol, with a softer smoother feeling).
