I haven't been on in a couple of days, too much happening here right now. Will update when I can, thanks
It's been a bit hectic here for a while. I had a few doctors appointments, and my eye exams for my cataracts surgeries, which took 4 1/2 hours plus about 1 1/2 hours of travel time. My GF went through the death of her sister some weeks ago, and then her step dad died recently. I will post an SOTD later on, after all, Halloween is my day.
Hey people. I thought I'd be back on a week ago, but my GF got really sick, and a couple of days later, I also got sick. Thought it was possible we had covid, but luckily we didn't have it, just really bad colds, fever, chills, sweating and the like. Still recuperating and as far as I can remember, this is the worst one I ever had in my life. Just hoping I feel better to keep my appointment at the eye surgery place this Thursday.
Hope you are doing better. Everyone around here is getting that RSV and getting really sick. Same as you, they all think they have Covid, test negative and then go down hard. Take care of yourself. It takes a while to fully go away if that’s what got you…
I probably would've been better by now, but no. I went and visited a neighbor a couple days ago, not a good idea, I got worse.
Well, I guess bad luck does follow people. I went for my 1st cataracts surgery and there was a mix up. It got re-scheduled, but I have one scheduled for the 28th.
That's what happened to me a week or so ago......got tested for Covid, Flu, RSV, with one swab. Passed on the first two-positive for RSV. I'm better now, but it was a doozy.
Well, my right eye was operated on today. I guess it'll be a foggy, blurry type of vision for a couple of days. Objects seem to have an aura or halo around them. My vision in that eye improved as things are much more in focus. Colors are actually popping as they're much brighter.
Just a quick update. Because one of my eye operations had to be re-scheduled, I've been walking around with two types of vision. Right eye has completely reversed and is now far sighted, which I like. And my left vision is completely blurry, near sighted. Trying to work on things is pretty hard as when working close, my left eye can see clearly, but right eye is blurry. The left will be operated on 2-1 and I can't wait.
Well, finally got both eyes done and loving being far sighted instead of near sighted. Saw my regular eye doc today and he said everything looks fine. I'm using cheap bifocals for now until I get a final prescription for my eyes. Most likely a slight prescription for far sightedness, which isn't much, and bifocals. So I should be back on here regularly in a few days, as I have something to do.
Oops, forgot to mention this. Today I had a steroid injection for "trigger finger". A condition where a finger locks in the closed position and can take a little, and painful, force to open back up. Had it for many years, but recently became worse and painful. But hopefully it'll clear up without an operation. Boy, I've been keeping doctors pretty busy the past year.
