My razor gets put on a wooden shelf, so I have to dry it so I don't wreck the shelf. 'Sides I don't like water spots on my razors.
The only reason I clean the razor after a shave is to make it presentable for the next morning SotD pic
Multiple passes (only doing a beard reduction) also seems to protect against nicks which come from too much pressure, going to quickly and carelessly, improper blade angles, and the occasional contacts with a pimple or a small "high spot" on your chin… Multiple passes are very helpful.
