I wasn't as fussed on the cream but I loved the soap. I'd love to be able to recreate the scent, my favourite by miles.
I snatched a wooden bowl of Sienna Soap off eBay a few months ago. I guard it jealously and use it (as I do with the Sienna cream) only for special occasions (like Pig Iron Day, Peroxide Your Moustache Day, Liz Taylor's Wedding Anniversary, and Wear a Plunger on your Head Day).
Dang...I missed Wear a Plunger on Your Head Day again this year. I knew I should have marked it on the calendar.
No, you didn't miss it. You still have time to celebrate “…Plunger…” day. It’s celebrated on December 18. If you find this hard to believe, visit this link: http://www.capemaycountyherald.com/print-archives Then go to the third drop-down menu from the end (entitled “ON DECK”) in the left-hand column. Pull down the Dec 12, 2006 issue and go to page 18. There you’ll see a man enjoying Wear a Plunger on your Head Day, and you can also read my article about the holiday. I hope this gets you in the holiday spirit.
Creamo cream has become my favorite stuff to shave with. Which is kinda irritating to me. It does not have a cool scent... Or the trading feel of a puck and brush. . But it just works sooooooo well for me!
When the OP says, "Best Shaving Cream Ever!," does this imply that nothing will ever match or surpass this cream into the future, or merely a reflective look back at what is and what was? I'm not that prescient regarding the transcendent qualities of my potential future shaving creams!
I love Musgo classic. I may stick with it for a long time. Very slick and gives me a very comfortable shave. I have also had great shaves with colonel conk soap.
Creams I've used: KMF, Bigelow, Derby, Tabac, Caswell Massey 1752, but my favorite cream, so far, is Body Shop Maca Root cream. Easy to lather, (I always use distilled water), great cushion & glide.
Love my ever-decreasing tub of Truefitt & Hill Ultimate Comfort Unscented, its expensive but oh so nice!
Speick, Proraso and Nivea Sensitive Shave Cream. I have a tube of Palmolive to try and a tub of Jack Black on the way.
