The palmolive stick is good. Heck, as a shave soap in general it is good. I bought 5 of them so I am going to grate 2 of them into a container and keep the rest in stick form.
I really like the Speick stick, I have found it lathers excellently and I always get a good shave. I have an Irisch Moos stick and a La Toja stick on the way, I can't wait to try them. Cheers, David
I get my worst shaves with the Palmolive stick. I took it with me on a business trip and wow did that hurt. I am now using Irisch Moos. That stuff is absolutely amazing. I didn't think it could be better than Tabac, because I thought they are the same thing, but it is my favorite soap by far. Since so many of you like the palmolive stick, I am going to give it another shot. Maybe mine is broken Or maybe I just don't know which end to use
tried my first shave stick this morning with Arko. Loved it...I'm an Ivory soap junkie so that scent made it even better. Slick shave, no problems with a Gem Featherweight SE. Got some more sticks coming of different types and now I can't wait to try them out! EW
I personally despise shave sticks, but have no problem milling them into soap. My favorite is Palmolive, but the Erasmic is nice too.
Sometimes asking what the best [product type] is, is like playing Plinko. The answers bounce around here and there... but if you want to know where the chip lands in this particular case, I'll give you a hint...
La Toja Tabac Erasmic(tallow formula) Speick Lea Palmolive Arko these are my favourites shaving sticks.Tabac is great but kind of hard to find(even here in Europe) and expensive. For 2 euros the best is La Toja.
If you like Tabac, I recommend you try Irisch Moos, if you can get your hands on it.... Lea? Haven't heard of that one, I may have to search it out.... shaving sticks are becoming my favorite way to lather up
Matt if you want some lea shave stick send Yomuppet a PM he has some for sale awhile ago. (opps, there I go enableing again)
Lea is a spanish brand of creams and shaving sticks. The shaving sticks are really good too(better than the cream)I should try Irisch Moos but those are really hard to find here. Thanks for the recommendation
The store right here at TSD had them at one time. Hadn't checked to see if it's still in stock, though...
