Nathan's and Hebrew National. I have some in the freezer as we speak. So, I'm not sure if that is "other." I could have said Fenway Frank.
Absolutely NO pickles, sport peppers, tomatores Mustard and pickles only (maybe a little relish) but it MUST have vienna Beef!
Neither! I'll go for a Fenway Frank, or the Deion Sanders Ultimate Hot Dog from Tiger Town Tavern here in Clemson (back me up on this one Blair!).
All you need is a good ole NY dawg with mustard and kraut or onions. Nothing else required - no pickles, bacon, tomatos etc. If I wanted all that, I'd get a freakin' club sandwich.... Jordan
Anyone ever had a deep-fried hot dog? Now that is how a hot dog should be cooked. :drool Mustard and onions only.
Papaya King at #rd Ave and 86th St is better, but Gray's Papaya is the best bargain in food that NYC has to offer.
Yep, there are a couple of places over in Jersey that do 'em like that. I can't remember the names though.... Jordan
I'll have a Nathon's anytime I'm in New York City. I wish they still had that corner location with the oyster bar in Times Square. Nathan's is not the same outside of NYC, I've always been disappointed. Now my favorite hot dog comes from Ohio. Yep, they are sold at Malabar Farm State Park where the meat is grown. The processing is done by a small company in nearby Lucas. The dogs are twice the size of the typical dog that you find in the grocery store, almost the size of a brat. It won't fit into a typical hot dog bun, I have to use something bigger. The seasoning is obvious with a spiciness that almost makes mustard unnecessary, but mustard is mandatory with any hot dog. When slow cooked on the grill the skin literally crackles when I bite into one!
