Happy Herman Melville Day! “There are certain queer times and occasions in this strange mixed affair we call life when a man takes this whole universe for a vast practical joke, though the wit thereof he but dimly discerns, and more than suspects that the joke is at nobody's expense but his own.” ― Herman Melville, Moby-Dick
So many people dislike that book, and yet I've read the thing from cover to cover and really enjoyed it. Thanks for the quote!
We all have different tastes. I hated the narrative style, because I just didn't think it fit the narrator. But Happy Melville Day, to those who like it!
