I managed to find a Superspeed this evening which will be on its way to me soon, not a C-1 but a G-1 so 1961 first quarter. I'm happy but the search for a mint C-1 will continue actually a search for more razors of that era will continue :)

Get the Rocket. I saw a "buy it now" TV yesterday, it was USA-I think.

I just found a C-1 Superspeed in the Classifieds which made my day, a little worn but well loved is a good sign as it means someone has used it a lot.

Only trouble is that I have less than 50 posts so can't contact the buyer ... bugger.

    Must post more :)

Had to get my dad's birth year since mine (1981) is going to be a little more difficult. 1958 D1 TV special. Paid too much but wanted it :)

Congrats on finding your birth year razor.
I'm now trying to find my Dad's Birth year and my Father-in-Laws Birth year. 1917 and 1920. I would like to find the year my Mom and Dad were married. I'm also looking for a 1964 Gillette.

Sorry I didn't realize that picture was going to be so huge. I should have cleaned my bathroom counter top better.

I really enjoy my mid 50s Super Speed so I expect the same from this 74 one.

I just contacted a nice fellow on this forum and he has agreed to sell me my birth year Super Speed, 1st quarter 1957 or C-1. No photos yet but you can bet there are going to be once it arrives.

Cyclone Luci has hit new Zealand this morning so it's wet and windy outside but nice right here in front of the computer.

Yeah as a '93, no chance for me. I'm going to look for my grandfathers year, of 1940. Any suggestions?

You won't get a Vintage Gillette from 1993 but you could find a different brand razor from that date I'm sure the experts will be along soon to give you some real guidance.

Gillette Sensor Excel was released in 1993 but maybe not what you had in mind.
Type N (1980-1998) Injector razor also not that beautiful

Cool topic. My BR would be a 59 (yes I'm old). :)
    Will have to start looking.

This is a very cool topic. Mine would be a 1963. Any ideas on what would have been TOTL for that year?
