How is the aqua velva ? Is it close to the original?

I’ve never tried the old original AV, but I’ve read that this Spanish version is close. The Spanish version is more refined, in a sense, to me than the current US version (which I still enjoy using BTW).

Congrats on the razor, it looks awesome I can’t wait to see how you mod a new blade to fit
The original blades are sharp, but not compared to modern blades. They are a little Tuggie if you go slow and feel better if you’re confident with the shave. The mild setting is obviously mild the aggressive setting didn’t necessarily feel aggressive because of the bkade not being so sharp i felt more tug then aggression

Just received my new Yaqi 22mm Cola synthetic shave brush, took a while to arrive but it was worth the wait. Always wanted this brush and it came up on a sale recently so bought it at a good discount. Took it out for test drive this morning with good results.

I just noticed your safety bar is smooth and not oc like mine. The hande looks the same but just at a glance.

Yes I tried the Penn blades in the Mark Cross. Don't feel much need to go there again :)

There is a regular and an adjustable model. Yours is the adjustable. Hoping to use my adjustable tomorrow and maybe a video as to what I modded on it. If it fails to work tomorrow I'll switch to the standard model to finish the shave.

On a related note .. I dug out my Christy Massage Bar (the Penn Dollar is a Christy patent) and got a Proline locked and loaded in that too for tomorrow.

No problem. He has had the adjustable for some time and recently got the standard.

Well I bought this Oneblade Genesis from a local ad. The guy lived about 50 miles away and he delivered it to me. It was suppose to be NIB but its not. Lol It looks like it was handled and passed around a mechanics shop. Maybe he decided to finally look in the box right after he changed the oil and spark plugs off of his 55 chevy apache 3100 gen 2 wrap around window pick up? Or after he decided to finally change the chain on his 78 Honda CB550 cafe racer? Who knows, the guy drove 1.5 hours to deliver this unique razor to my door for $85 cash. For the price, I’m ok with with the smudges on the box.

The One Blade gives a surprisingly good double pass shave. It is a good razor if you are in a hurry and need a quick shave. Like a straight razor, it reward long smooth strokes.

I'm sure you can hack off one side of the Yuma head much easier than someone did to my Barbasol. Yuma is a surprisingly good shave.
