Try travelling to India, an assault on senses in every way you can imagine. In this part of the world South East Asia with our heat and humidity, other than Indian other countries are fairly all right. I agree it has a lot to do with diet, Indians are mostly vegans so the unhealthy stuff like meat are probably not the reason in their case, but spices my personal opinion has a lot to do with it. I think we Asians tend to take more showers, we at least do it twice a day because we'll be drenched wet in sweat the moment we step out of the a/c. When I was studying in the UK, I showered once a day if it's in the winter I'd be lucky to do it once a day so that would be my opinion of why the BO is bad in the Western Hemisphere.

I've been to numerous countries around the world, both first and third world countries. I also lived in Egypt for almost 9 months. Now those people smelled. I remember almost throwing up several times when those people were up close to me on the base.

This is not a stab at Egyptians or Arabs in general. Since it's a dry climate and eextremely hot, water is really scarce. The people are also a lot worse off than we are.

Another reason maybe that people over seas may not wash their clothes on a regular basis ? Just a thought....
I've worked with two people at different times that had these problems and it was very hard not to say something, I even thought about buying some soap and deodorant and put it in their basket.....
