I'm more of a reader than a movie watcher, and I tend to re-read favourites every few years. I recently re-read Moby Dick - such a good book. I'm currently re-reading Goethe's Faust part one - clever guy, that Goethe.

Movie....Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix. I must say that I really enjoyed it. The Movies are becoming 'quite dark' now.

Book....Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Needles to say...I haven't read it yet, but as we speak......I am waiting to prise it from the Postman's hands!

    I really am a very sad person:D

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.......

Im kinda pissed actually....someone in the NY Times like reviewed it 2 days ago......and i read the NY Post....well..the post went on to Scold the times for ruining the book by stating some of the things they said. Now in my opinion that is ruining the book as well. I had to turn the page quick after I read 2 spoilers..im a little pissed.....but oh well...its being delivered today.

    Hairspray

My daughter and I went to see Hairspray this weekend. Both she and I both thoroughly enjoyed it. She's ten so I wasn't sure she'd be OK with non-modern style themes and music. Acting, music, score, and all were done very well. Got me rocking in my seat. I was lamenting the fact I didn't get to play this musical when I was doing musical orchestra gigs. The older folks in the crowd, me included, were laughing at the visual and verbal 50/60s references that we knew so well. What a difference from todays PC world. They sent a lot of good messages without beating you over the head with it. Daughter is already saying I want to see it again! I want the DVD, I want the soundtrack. :D

Half way through "The Good Guy" by Dean Koontz, so far so good.

    Finished.

Good read, ending was a little so so (for my taste) but all and all I would strongly recommend reading it.

But I bet it was a better ending then what Stephen King writes. I can't stand King's endings.

The last Harry Potter book. A fitting end to a great series. Sad to see it end.

In the last book they mentioned a magic razor that would give you the closest shaves possible. Naturally I pictured a straight razor. Wondering what kind of razor everybody else imagined? More importantly what razor did J.K. Rowling envision when she inked those words on the page?

    Word, Bro !

Thats why I quit him YEARS ago.
I still dont understand WHY a "writer" can build and create characters and plots and then.......when it hits the fan ........
wrap it all up in 2 pages and leave his readers hanging there.
    SK is dead to me.
