Those are awesome, Jim! Technique question- on the first one, do you hand carve the flutes/recesses, or use something like a spindle sander?

 

I use a combination of a drum sander on my Milwalkee drill that is attached to a small wooden horse. I can sit in a chair and shape the piece. Then I finish with my Dremel and hand sanding.

Absolutely fantastic looking brushes.
All three look amazing, but the 385 would be my pick of the 3.

 

I finished this razor handle for a friend today.

 

I broke out the lathe yesterday and turned nine handles. Now, I will be able to work on them at my leisure. I have a bunch of knots coming, so I won't be finishing any of them before next weekend probably. The next step is making the holes for the knots. Numbers to be determined. The bottom right is going to be 404 by request.

 

Nice work. I especially like the top middle and bottom right.

 

Thank you. That top middle one will eventually be a 400 type brush. I will also designate it as #400. How about that?
