Initially it wasn't my color either, but as I got more and more white hair (on my face and in the little I have on the top of my head), I realized it was a mark of being "well seasoned". Hence I could identify with the butterscotch brushes. That goes into the reasoning I enjoy repairing and restoring brushes ..... they don't get worn out by sitting on the shelf ..... they've lived a hard life like the rest of us.
