C.O. Bigelow / Lucky Tiger

C.O. Bigelow in the green tube works great for me. I find it at Bath & Body Works.

 

The lucky tiger liquid cream shave is awesome! Makes a good lather and nice and slick. Cant go wrong with C.O. bigelow like everyone else mentioned.

 

I know Proraso makes C.O. Bigelow cream, but do they use the same formula? If not, is there a noticeable difference?

 

I've tried both and can't tell a difference. The CO Bigelow is a bit cheaper if you catch it on sale and buy 3 tubes though.

I picked up three tubes of the Bigelow at Bath and Body Works a while back on sale, buy 2 get 1 free and my wife had an additional coupon for some % off. I practically stole the stuff! I do enjoy it, but I was wondering if it was just a watered down version of the Proraso. I like that I can go to a store to buy the Bigelow, are there any brick and mortar stores that sell Proraso products?

 

Not where I live but if you're in Chicago, New York, or L.A. (and maybe some others) there are some.

 

That's what I figured. I live in rural NW Iowa. I have to drive at least 2 hours just to get to a Target store.

 

I've used both Bigelow and Proraso and I cannot tell any difference between the two, although I do seem to remember reading that the Bigelow cream is still the "old" Proraso formula (it was reformulated a couple years ago to remove the parabens from the ingredient list).

Either way, you cannot go wrong. It's incredible stuff and darn near idiot-proof (believe me, it saved my face more than once during the early days of my wet shaving career).

 

CO Bigelow is Proraso Green tube, with a different tube

 

I used the lucky tiger pre shave cream and it was great! Co bigelow is pretty much proraso. There is very little difference. I get great lather and protection from it
