This was a interesting flea market find. A complete C.V.H. SE Razor. Both parts to the handle are in the case and has well as the stropping attachment. The case is a touch tatty on the outside but clean inside. The case it labeled Hoffritz inside and also the one blade. Can not find any info of Hoffritz selling the SE as opposed to them selling C.V. H. straight razors. A nice piece of history mixing the end of the C.V.H. SE razors and the beginning of Hoffritz as a cutlery company
Great Razors...The KING of SE Hollow Ground Blade Shaving in My Humble Opinion...Luxury Shaver of its Day & Still is in My Books...The Blade is the Key..Need Properly Honed...I Honed these Blades Out to 20 K... @Karl G has One as Well..He Raves about it...In German.. Its Been Made by C.V. Heljestrand in Sweden for Hoffritz Cutlery Company.. Nice Catch..Enjoy.. Billy..
Thanks all for the kind words. I know of the razors Pedegree and great potential. What I found the most interesting, other than being a complete set from the dirt mall, is it being distributed by Hoffritz. At first I thought it was a marriage, a CVH in the wrong case. Until a returned home and removed the blade from the razor, that is when I saw the logo on it. Than it all came together. I hope it does not make my CVH straight razors jealous
