Not really, I have too many Proglide carts in my cupboard and I can't let those go to waste. When I am done using all of those, I will switch to Mach-3. With Mach-3 cart, I was able to get 12 shaves (only 3 less than proglide). So on cost per shave ratio, Mach-3 is a winner. In comfort, both deliver great shaves, but, proglide performs better on chin area and thats it. Mach-3 also wins in maintenance dept. as I don't need to especially dry and oil the blades to get maximum mileage. All I do is shave with it and then put it away in moisture free environment to dry off for my next shave.
Have you tried spraying your blades with alcohol? I do that, although I have no idea how much it helps blade longevity. For some reason, that's one area to which I haven't paid much attention. Since you're very clear on blade longevity, I would be interested in your take on the effectiveness of alcohol, if you've tried it.
I am sorry, Mr. Nathan, I've never tried this technique of blade longevity. But, various sources have stated that it does help to quite an extent, therefore it must be true.
Now, I'm sure @Sabre have twelve of these already but for a cartridge n00b like myself I was really happy to find this black model of the Wilkinson Sword bonded with the larger sword picture on it. I like the look a lot
I sure will, Mr. Nathan. I will look for Alcohol spray in pharmacy and retail stores. If I do find one, it will make my blade drying job quite easier.
Not 100% sure if I just bought a Wilkinson II or WII cart razor. I put in a 'lazy 50% on asking price"-bid and ended up getting it.
I'm not overly surprised Do you btw know if they ever did a white version? I've only ever seen grey and black ones.
And then there was two... Got my "Tomorrow Never Dies" today Joining up with Goldfinger: #Wilkinson #Protector #JamesBon #CartridgeRazor #Pokemon
Lol twinsies! In more ways than one. I just received three cartridge razors in the mail...and there's a possibility that not even you have these ones I'll snap some photos tomorrow...
Can't you just buy those on alibaba? Update: Oh wait..even if you could..the volume requirements would be insane http://tiger-qin.en.alibaba.com/product/290863473-220069833/TIMLESS_T2_SAFETY_RAZOR.html
My problem is that I want a couple of Wilkinson Retractors...but the only person selling them will only sell like 60 of them....
