It was a rather "Wilkinson T70 heavy day" today as I received three ones (from two different sellers). 1) The rather elusive red-dot T70: Arrived with a bunch of cartridges as well: Planning on using this one next week. 2) Two early T70 sample razors straight out of Germany: These are very light weight and the design resembles the traditional Wilkinson Sword bonded razors even more. I would argue that the T70s being sent out in these sample packages were actually sample models of the regular Wilkinson Sword bonded ones (both will take the same cartridge I believe). A little T70=family photo...still quite a few missing though
@clint64 just landed himself a Feather MR3 Neo and having read a few reviews on it I am very interested in seeing how he likes in. Statements like "On the back of its heft and the quality of these Feather blades, this thing delivers the smoothest shaves I have ever had with any razor." peaks my interest It almost reminds me of the Schick Type O a bit....
Very nice, I would say you just need the standard grey and black, and the metal pin version as below: I do have one of the nice ones :
It does have some heft to it for sure. I'll take it for a spin this weekend and post up my impressions.
Yet another cartridge arrived....this black Wilkinson Sword Bonded razor, NIB, with the more unusual full sword logo on the handle. Sigh, another one to take the decision on if to open or not.... It came with 15 cartridges in total:
I love my Fusions for days when I just need a quick shave. For me they are comfortable and great for a single pass shave. I will only go one pass WTG with them though.
Had a great shave this morning with the Merkur MII - I really like the shape and weight of the handle.
Really enjoyed this morning's shave with my gold Schick Pivot razor and vintage Atra blade. I have now, to myself, confirmed that I much prefer the Atra cartridges to the Mach 3 ones. A really great shave was had
A pleasant SOTD this morning with the Wilkinson T70 Red Dot. I can understand why there are so few of these left - the razor feels almost disposable when shaving with it. Not a bad shave at all - just very light and almost fragile. I enjoyed it and came away with a good shave.
The latest additions to my Wilkinson Sword System razor collection: Wilkinson Sword Protector 3D Diamond Wilkinson Sword Duplo II Plus (Schick Super II V/X) Wilkinson Sword Duplo II De Luxe (Wilkinson Sword Profile Fixed)
