You won't regret it, I'm pretty sure. :)

I am in the same boat. This week I tried my Cella sample and have been quite impressed with the slickness, lather and shave. I have many soaps in inventory, but Cella may be an acquisition in the near future.

Cella is my third soap to date. I have the almond scent and it is fantastic.

Any place to get some samples of Cella?

Don't know any, but they sell it in Kg packs, so someone out there should be selling it in smaller quantities, albeit surely more expensive.
Even so, it's a relatively cheap soap... Unless you really can't stand the smell of marzipan, go ahead and buy a tub. ;)

Seems i have to give my Cella a try again...;) i had shaved with it i think 2 times and than it dissapeared in the very last corner of my den. I will put them in front to shave with it again. It´s almost over 1 year old and changed it´s colour. At the time i bought the soap it was "clearly" creamy white, now it´s more yellow and the scent isn´t the same. It almost has lost mostly all of it´s scent.

You can almost geuss what the scent is.But i think the characteristics should be the same hopefully.

Cella apparently goes rancid if you keep it sitting around too long. It sounds like lots of people who buy the kilo blocks keep them tightly wrapped and in their refrigerator so it won't go bad before you can use it all.

Refrigerator?! Seriously?! :signs002: Ok,i will give it a try. I only bought a little puck last year. But even if the soap is rancid,i can still use the soap,or?! I hope so...

Interesting, I haven't really thought of spoilage before. I found the text below on a website selling the 1 kg block.

    SKIN TYPES
    Suitable for most skin types.
    HOW TO USE
Use a shaving brush to work up a lather. Apply to beard and wait 2 minutes to allow hair to soften. Shave and rinse. Because this soap is not packed full of preservatives, it’s important to store it correctly. Read storage tips below.
    INGREDIENTS
Cocos Nucifera (Coconut Oil), Tallow, Stearic Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Sodium Hydroxide, Aqua (Water), Potassium Carbonate, Parfum (Fragrance).
    RECOMMENDED FOR
Daily Shaving, Preventing Razor Burn, Preventing Ingrown Hairs, Preventing Razor Bumps, No Nick Shaving, Dry Skin, Normal Skin, Oily Skin, Combination Skin, Sensitive Skin.
    STORAGE TIPS
Cut a portion of soap from your 1kg block and transfer into a small container with an airtight lid. Keep your remaining block sealed in a plastic bag and away from heat, direct sunlight and humidity.

I ordered a sample of Cella when I started wet shaving. It did not smell like almond at all, what I had smelled like old fryer grease and was light brown in color . Do you think I got a rancid sample?

    Yep. It should be white.

If it has a scent and it lathers, it's fine. It's possible that some batches come out off white or yellow from the start, and others get warehoused too long My first tub was a off yellow/brown and it smelt and worked fine. My second tub was white. I bought a block 2 years ago and split it with someone - a kg is too much. It was white. Just went to refill the tub and having wrapped it in greaseproof, it's now gone yellow. If I had wrapped it in a plastic bag, I reckon it'd still be white Still smells like Cella, though not as strong, still works like Cella.

Cella is a very nice soap. I shaved today with it. With a couple of drops of M-Bomb.

Cella is a very good soap. I need to use it more, but I love it. I think I know what I'll use with my next shave.

Cella is a great soap and that little red tub will last a long time.

Two shaves in with the Cella. Very nice! I've always enjoyed the scent of almond oil, and the Cella has it in spades.
I mentioned it reminded me in color, texture and aroma of 'marzipan' in one of my other postings. A dense cream (more like a soft soap) that generates a quite decent lather in no time. A real good value.

Side note: Almond oil or almond extract is a common additive to processed cherries (maraschino & the like), as well as 'cherry-flavored' sodas or candies, and 'cherry-scented' lotions & creams. This fact explains, when I often read reviews of Cella, that users like the 'cherry scent,' —even though what they are actually smelling is 'almond.'

With the rave reviews this may have to be the second Shave Cream I try. I am currently using Prorasso in a green tub and I love it. It practically lathers itself up for me. So easy.
