Cheers Aaron, most of my SOS pics are with the iphone 4 in the bathroom without much natural light hence the poor quality, when I can use the camera I its ok panasonic 8mp (4years old but ok) prob upgrade this year, just too much choice. The ASB and aftershave was nice face feeling ok esp for the price. If i was at home I would of used the schick injector as that only cost £2.50. since the EJ89L was a gift
Yea that was just plain luck a year or so ago, it fell between the cracks on ebay and went for $12. The seller had another identical to it and I thought that was going to be mine too but a member of a forum no doubt bid it up to $30, which now might be a bargain itself. I'd buy again if the price is right but that might just be dreamin.

Looking back I realize I didn't post every day here for this theme week. Very busy with the holidays, as I'm sure many of you were. I would like to reiterate to those who may be just starting out, or thinking about it. Traditional wet shaving (TWS as some folks say) does not have to be expensive. A razor will last forever, given the proper care. I know several members, self included, who shave with razors up to and even over 100 years old. I have about three dozen razors in my rotation: Of them, only 5 were purchased brand new. Of the rest, one, I realize now, I over paid big time. The rest were flea market or antique shop finds for less than $15, with the majority closer to the $5 price (two Fatboys, each for only $2 a piece!). Some are not the prettiest (losing some finish), but by form, fit and function, they all give great shaves. For brushes, I've heard boars will go about 10-15 years and badgers up to 20-25. Omega boars can be had for less than $20. Several badger makers can set you up with a great brush for under $50. I do have and use a few vintage brushes that still have their original knot. Of the vintage brushes, I paid less than $10 each. Of course your brushes will last longer if you have two or three in the rotation. Buy blades in bulk and the savings are really realized. I like Astra Superior Platinum - $15 for a box of 100. For me that works out to 15 cents a week for almost two years. Soaps will generally last longer than creams. How long? How many shaves? There are many factors that play into that that I won't go into now, but know this, $12-$15 may seem like a lot to pay for shaving soap, but it can last for 6-8 months. And there are soaps out there that are just as good as the more expensive soaps for only $6-$7 (can you say TSD?) . Granted, the glycerine soaps won't last as long, but how long will that can of goo last? The price per shave goes down even more once family and friends find out you're into it. Gifts are free! And some are priceless. Bottom line, don't feel bad about putting out a few dollars more than that 99 cent Bic and can of goo from the dollar store. In the long run, you'll be saving money AND getting better shaves!
