Great Lakes is good but you should do a beer run in the area. There are several breweries basically in the same street, I like Nano Brew the best right now!
Greetings sir and welcome to The Shave Den. Fret not about your neck, many man find the neck a troublesome spot. As others have mentioned you could try a pre-shave product. By the way are the nicks an issue of going ATG or XTG? If so you could try just going WTG, A good number of us men can only go WTG, myself included. It is better to look presentable than have razor bumps.
The first time I tried to shave I butchered my neck when I went against the grain. I think at that time it was mostly due to a poor shaving angle. Since then I have been focusing on my angle and technique. Above my jaw line I am doing 3 passes (with, cross, against) and only 2 neck passes (both with). I will still nick my neck a little but nothing like I did before. I hope once I get more comfortable with the razor that I can try different passes on my neck.
Belated greetings from a lurker, a relative newbie, and another Clevelander! I'm on the west side in Rocky River.
Welcome from one newbie to another. There's also a good brewery right next to the West Side Market called Market Garden Brewery they have great beer garden outside. Great IPA's.
Hi, welcome! The Proraso pre-shave is one of my favourites, and the Proraso liquid after shave balm is good as well, with the benefit of being readily available.
