Cedar and Spice is a great soap. The aftershave is off the hook, great things for your face , ice cold and smells awesome, just like... well cedar...and spice. I give this one a 10+
If you give like 5 minutes I can do a test lather with my puck of Cryogen. I don't have issues lathering it really but experienced the same issues (Skincare/Glide/Protection or lack thereof) that Jeff (@crackstar ) did. I have only had this issue with the Cryogen and the other samples of Chiseled Face that I have tried have been a ton better....maybe menthol overload messed with the quality? Ehh YMMV. Be right back I will go make a lather and take a picture.
1-1 1/2 minutes of loading my Stirling Kong with Cryogen. Great lather a little long to work up but overall not to bad. Like I said my issue is only with Cryogen as I enjoy other CF soaps. This stuff just has no skin care or protection in my opinion. (YMMV)
No scent either unless menthol counts as a scent! Fantastic lather bro - my Turkish horsehair brush gave me lather like that also, but it took too friggin long and I had to keep adding water. I NEVER have to do that when I lather my Glacials! (and neither do you!)
The Cedar and Spice After Shave just doesn't do it for me. I tried it twice. Very "woodsie". I would be up for trading it to anyone who wants to try it. The bottle basicly looks full still. Open to any other splash's.
CF has marked 2 of its soaps for sale, I just recently noticed.....Sherlock and Ghost Town Barber.(FAI-for anyone's info).
OK, here's my third go-round on this baby-wanted to tell you that I just noticed that CF Sherlock and Barbershop soaps are now listed as being on sale.
I have the sample and it is indeed very, very woodsy. I don't get much spice from it, but it's there. Still, I'd be interested but I don't knwo what I'd have to trade for it...all I have is GTB which I'm hanging on to. If he could come up with a pine splash that matches Aubrey's Men's stock North Woods (which apparently now is reformulated and wrecked) or Coty's old Wild Woods, I'd buy in bulk. The pine tar shaving soap is exactly as he describes it on the site. I like it.
replying to my own post...oh, I see one of my "takes" made it before my third....oops. Oh well, the more news, the merrier(even if it's the same news!)
