Usual rules apply, 100 posts, CONUSA, contact me before shipping, and... HAVE FUN! POST THOUGHTS! To sign up, and choose your spot, I'm going to try what they do on other forums. Copy and paste the below list in your post and put your name where you want it, so you can be sooner or later. 1. m54daboll 2. ilts 3. PLAla 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10.
Not in. Having lost my DE cherry to a FatBoy, I had to get a Slim. For comparison purposes ya know? It had nothing to do with RAD. My slim is also setting on the shelf. I ought to find it a new home.
Never used an adjustable. I'm in. Not sure what you mean by the copying and pasting, but I'll be whatever number works!
Basically take the list of 1-10 and paste it in your post with your name where your want it. But I'll put it in the original post as number one.
Any more takers here? I'd think there's at least 5 people who've never tried an adjustable who'd like to... Come on... Sign up!
I too have a slim currently in my rotation. Very considerate of you to take the time and effort to kick this off.
Ok I am going to go ahead with the pass around. PM sent to @m54daboll Post your thoughts and your shaves here! Keep it for a few shaves to see how you like it.
Will do. I will use it a few times and post my thoughts, then pass it on after talking to you. I also plan to compare it to my Gillette Flair tip
Yep, fine razor and generous offer. Unfortunately, mine is still in 3 pieces after my wife dropped it in the shower. Blade exposure was uneven, even after some very gentle tapping on the center bar. I guess technically it was hers, as it belonged to her dad and she just happened to find it in a chest of drawers.
Ok, so I received the razor a few days ago but have been busy adjusting back to school and homework haha. First shave with it is in the books and it worked very well. I used it with a Personna Lab Blue blade (fresh) and used it on setting 5. As expected, it was a perfect medium for me (slightly more aggressive than my Merkur 1906). It worked very well and I was really impressed with it. I haven't tried it on setting 1 because I assumed it would be very mild like my '65 Gillette Superspeed Flairtip. I'm also not sure how aggressive 9 would be, so will have to try it on 9. I will post my thoughts after a few more shaves at different levels. Overall it was great though, great weight to it, decently short handle and I think the adjustability on a vintage razor is very cool. Will definitely try and pick one up if I see one for sale floating around!
