Classic Clubman is a little too sweet for me, but I love the Special Reserve. I can't imagine a more manly scent!

I have a bottle of the original. I like it, and so does the wife but I only use it if I shave at night. I work in a hospital and would never use it if I was going there. It's far too strong in my opinion.

I reckon I"m a lucky guy cuz when I use Clubman my wife can't seem to stay away. Get plenty of neck nuzzling and things go from there. Yup, it's good stuff for sure

My wife and I both like Clubman. Now if you were talking about Lilac Vegetal, I would have poured it down the sink myself.:scared001:

Aftershave varitey is lacking in my current Den, so thankfully I know not to add Clubman. - Happy Wife = Happy Life

I love the stuff but I find it much more useful when mixed 50/50 with witch hazel. Then again you can mix another measure of vodka and cut the scent that much more.
Some folks don't like it but I find it awesome with cella.

I did the same, cutting it to 50/50. Still dont find myself using it much. I like the smell but it is pretty strong.

Hmmm. How much are you guys with complaints on the strength using? I find that it dries down nicely by the time I get to work.

I am just sensitive to scents in general. A lot of deodorants bother me. I use less clubman than I do my other stuff.

Clubman appeals to an older demographic...or possibly to certain individuals with diminished olfactory sensory neurons. :D

When I purchased a bottle of Clubman from CVS late one evening last year,
the check-out clerk (female, in her late 20s) looked at the bottle and said aloud,
    "Hmm..'Pin-oud Clubman ....'"
To which the other clerk across the aisle, a woman in her 60s (?), said,
"Ooo, I love that stuff. My husband wear it!"

Quizzical look still on my clerks' face as she glanced at the yellow liquid in the bottle.
I then cracked open the new bottle and had her take a whiff.

    Her reaction....

Maybe I am just an OFT-(Old Fart in Training), but all the Clubman Original products smell like the barbershops from my youth and I miss the old school barbershops from the late 60's and 70's. They were truly the last place that men could call their own. No metro-sexual scents or hairdressers ALLOWED. After a recent divorce, I am leaning towards the idea of dumping the bride and keeping all things Clubman. Must just be a Hater.:angry021:

Clubman Aftershave is a strong barbershop scent. I have used it instead of a shower after working outside. :happy088:

I find it quite the opposite. It dries down very quickly and after an hour or so, only leaves a very faint scent. Love the initial burn (if any depending on my shave/razor). For the money, it is a bargain and my 5 and 7 year old sons beg me to use it whenever I shave. Just for clarification, I have other A/S's such as Fine, Old Spice, etc.

I suppose the same could be said of the old YMCAs, but I'm not wearing THAT fragrance. ;)
