Knob Creek Manhattan on the rocks ! 1 part whiskey 1/2 part Sweet Vermouth Splash of bitters ! Ok add 1 more part of Whiskey !!!! Merry Christmas !
Mist Makers Equal Parts of Irish Mist, Makers Mark and Skyy Orange Vodka Served on the rocks with an orange twist. Yepper, a mist may appear!
Now that looks tasty! I have the Makers and some Mandarin Absolut, but alas no Irish Mist. So a Makers on the Rocks it is.
Grey Goose Martini up - very very dry - very very cold with a lemon twist Or - a really good single malt scotch neat or a really good bourbon with crushed ice or a Margarita with high end liquors or - well you get the idea - it's like shave creams and soap
Had a snifter of B&B after supper tonight. Exhaling and inhaling into the snifter really clears your sinuses before you sip. Aaron
Dirty Goose Shaker of ice plenty of grey goose, or your fav vodka or gin pour1/2-3/4 oz olive juice into Martini glass shake not stirred, and pour into glass, finish will 3 large olives (garlic stuffed are nice) A nice stoogie of yur choice, a rendition of God Bless America, and Thats It. Grottolord
I posted this in the DDoD thread but it should probably be here as well. It's a good one. A cocktail I like to call an "Androgynous". Bluecoat American Dry Gin, a few splashes of Angostura bitters and some pure Montana spring water over a few cubes. Basically it's a British favorite the "Pink Gin" made with the distinct American Bluecoat. I wish the Bluecoat was available locally, I have to get it online. These go down smooth and a little too quickly!
One of my favourites is the El Diablo. Build in a tall glass over Ice 1 nip Tequila (preferably wood aged) 1 nip Chambord (french raspberry liqeur) Half nip of lime Juice Top up with ginger beer. Pete
I suppose you don't need it. The water smooths it all out for me. Here's one that I don't know what is called, but it's tasty. Fresh squeezed Grapefruit juice, some honey, light rum and a dash or two of orange bitters.
The Namib Special A personal favorite, but I don't get it often due to the orange slice; 1 shot of Jack Daniels (other bourbons might be ok) 1-2 teaspoons of sugar, pref. in a shot glass 1 orange slice Think Tequila and drink! (For those of you young enough not to know how to drink tequila, here's how you drink the Namib Special; Sugar into mouth Follow with JD Sink teeth into orange slice)
Sidecar Oldest cocktail in the world Equal parts of Orange Liqueur, Cognac and lemon juice Personally I think this is a bit too sour, so I just cut the lemon in half. Serve on the rocks.
Damn, now I have to think, since I don't think a rum-coke or a JD-coke is gonna do it now is it... My girlfriend had an idea of mixing Tequila Rose with a bit milk and pouring it over ice, might be a nice idea... I like a personal twist on the Sidecar with the cognac substituted with Jack Daniels, kicks things up a notch. (Plus that JD is cheaper than XO cognac)
According to some, the British Army survival manual states that if you're lost, one should begin to make a martini and sure enough, someone will show up and show you how to make it different. Mine are 4 parts Stoli to one part Martini and Rossi dry vermouth with 3 olives. The Vodka, glasses and shaker should stored in the freezer at least 8 hrs. The vermouth in the fridge. There's no cocktail, except perhaps the bourbon Manhattan that gives more of a punch. Doc.
Sounds crazy but I love a Malibu Coconut Rum Cream Soda in Double old fashion.... Oh they have become my signature drink...
Well, now I've GOT to share my all time favorite cocktail. I'll drink this anytime, anywhere, it's so effing good! Classic Daiquiri -1/2 shot Lime Juice (key lime juice is GREAT) -1/2 shot simple syrup -1 shot white rum -Shake with ice in a cocktail shaker -strain into glass (martini or high ball) -enjoy it like Hemingway and Kennedy before you.
On the rare occasion I have one, I enjoy a Rusty Nail as a treat. Although I tend to opt for Vodka/Tonic most often.
