Now, what are the chances you will get exposed?? Just saying. Then again, I wouldnt worry about it too much.

Good on you! As a society we need to look out for our elders. We wouldn't be here without them.

 

Sadly, no Waffle House here in Iowa.

Governor will be announcing a statewide school closure this afternoon.

 

The CDC link cites 22,000-55,000 flu deaths in the U. S.
If the present SARS2 trend (green line, below) continues for 365 days the world-wide deaths will be 29 million.

Scaling to 4.25% to the U. S. population, that's 1.2 million U. S. SARS2 deaths.
I don't think the trend will continue that long, however. On the other hand, it shows no signs of abating at present.

Obviously, none of us knows where this is going. I just wanted to share the reasons behind why I've formed my opinion.

I see shortage of TP and Lysol. But fresh foods, like fruit, veggies & meats seem to be readily available. A lot of classes & club meetings have been cancelled, but our archery club decided to hold today’s shoot, as scheduled. Attendance was light and our older shooters (by “older” I mean over 70) stayed away.

 

What all this misinformation really means is that you should not believe what other countries are saying, and just take care of yourself, and your family. For now, I'm not sweating any of it.

I heard corned beef, cabbage and Hamm's beer is anti-viral.

 

"Paranoia has reached absurd levels. I sneezed in front of my laptop and it started a virus scan."

 

I envy you.

 

I went for a.long bicycle ride with the wife, and ended up a Torchys Tacos, for a late lunch. There was a family of about 6, slathering up with hand sanitizer, all the way up to the elbows, just before their food came out. They seemed pretty smug, saying they weren't going to catch the Corona Virus. I asked them if they thought the guys making their food, serving their food, and cleaning their table used the same precations. They thought about it for few seconds, and the wife said that she was sure they did, just for their food. They weren't so smug anymore, after that. I thought it was funny.

 

The smug always end up eaten first in movies where the lights and wi-fi go out.
