    A cloander full of freshly picked nettles. I turned these into nettle soup, served with egg and sandwiches.:happy088

    Rick, we're somehow connected. McBaren Burley in my Peterson Spigot. Tanqueray gin mixed with Noilly Prat vermouth and Schweppes. By the way, how do you Anglophones pronounce Noilly Prat? Just curious.

    Ah, wine, gin, absinthe, umeshu, vermouth, whisky… I can’t live without them. If TSD members can suggest some quality orange bitters, I’m all ears. :D

    is Riprasso a grape or a style of wine?

    Ripasso is a style of wine based on the region of Valpolicella's wines;

    After Amarone is pressed they bring out some of the traditional Valpolicella wine and let it ferment a second time on the leftover grapes/skins from the sweet Amarone.

    You get a much "rounder" wine, not as heavy as the Amarone, this is the perfect wine IMHO!

    IF you do, look for the wineyard "Nicolis" and their "Seccal" ripasso. The best I've had so far, but I can't source it here :(
