Announcing the Date

The Merz Apothecary in coordination with the Chicago Palmer House Hilton Hotel has announced the date of October 13, 2011 for the Chicago Wetshavers Get Together and Expo. The Palmer House will be providing space and would like a preliminary count. I am going to add in a survey to assist with the head count. As I mentioned earlier, I reached out to Mark (Mantic) and Geo (Geofatboy), and they are interested in attending. The Queen has also shown interest, and we know it just would not be the same without the Queen!

 

I would love to attend; however, I doubt I can swing it with it being during the week. I will have to see how things look at the start of the new school year. Maybe I can use a personal day to go.

I stopped by Mertz in Macy's today. Huh... well I tried to stop by Mertz's while by Macy's. Somehow with all the talk of Palmer House it never sunk in that they moved that location.

 

I'll be there, looking forward to it. Gotta crew I'm bringing with, mostly family and friends who I've sucked into this fine hobby.

 

Good work getting them to convert! I've been able to convert my wife and tried to get my pops to switch back. But he said it's all about being in and out of there, getting the quickest shave possible and on to his day. Mom even got him one of them things that plugs into the wall for him. It's an odd looking critter, makes a buzzing noise. They say it is a shaver, but I don't believe it, not looking at that 5 o'clock shadow thats still there once he's done.

 

Count me in, should be fun meeting local shavers.
