Day of the week shave theme

Where would one find the list of day s of the week shave themes? I hear people talk about them but cannot find the list. I was just curious thanks in advance.

 

Not sure there is a list. The only really important one is Williams Wednesday.....just saying

 

Some of the other themes that I've seen and occasionally taken inspiration from;

• Citrus Sunday
• Menthol Monday
• Tobacco or Tabac Tuesday
• Fat Boy Friday

It's never been formalized to my knowledge. Just something a few folks do for fun.

 

Nothing written down, just make up some themes and have fun!

I use Menthol Monday sometimes, and almost always do a Tobacco Tuesday shave. Several members use Williams Wednesday. There doesn't seem to be a good and clever term for Thursday that's widely used. I use Fat Friday each week with Mitchell's Wool Fat soap. I may start a personal Stirling Saturday category sometime.

 

And of course I sing my song that the Mamas and Papas tried to copy from me:

YAY-UH

 

I like "Tobacco" Tuesday, because it allows for alternate tobacco soaps/aftershaves.

 

We seem to be getting a list going now! Im gonna ponder on a Thursday theme.

 

How about "Any TOBS on Thursday" Just a thought!

 

How about: Menthol Monday, Tabac/Tobacco Tuesday, Williams Wednesday, Taconic Thursday, Fat Boy Friday, Stirling Saturday and Free Ride Sunday?

I've also seen "Blue Monday" (Gillette Blue Tip SS), "Single Edge Saturday/Sunday", "Tech Tuesday", and "Williams Wednesday". MWF fans might also consider "Fat Tuesday".

 

No need to over complicate things. Just use whatever makes you happy....

 

my crew and i did the fat on fridays back in the 80s, .. but it wasn't with razors..

An abundance of chubby redheads in your high school?

That could work. I have a Pinaud AS from their latest scent line, Clubman Reserve Whiskey Woods. Seems I recall a soap made with beer.

Also have a scent oil / witch hazel / Everclear in a spray bottle. When Tom @twhite mentioned his AS called Bound & Shagged my curiosity got the better of me.

 

Don't over think it...just go with it!

Mind you I don’t always follow these guidelines, but it does make the days shave more interesting. I came up with Stetson Sunday, Musky Monday, English Leather Thursday and Spicy Saturday.
