Today's event: Three pass head shave
    Gear Used:
    Razor: RazoRock Slant German 37
    Blade: Kroma Stainless
    Brush: 25mm angel knot (https://www.etsy.com/shop/TurnNShave )
    Soap: Mystery Cream Sample B+C
Aftershave: Gentleman Jon's Alum Block followed by Florida Water

The Kroma blade came out for a spin. It did the job well. Sharp. Briskly sharp. My alum block didn't send off any warning signs but during the shave it was slightly uncomfortable. Hopefully the blade tunes down a bit.

I think I jinxed myself with the last statement of my last post. The Kroma blade tuned down almost to a screeching halt. I got through my head shave but I think the blade isn't going to get any farther than it has with two shaves under it's belt. It was nice while it lasted though!

:1. Sputnik. For the really comfortable smoothness of the blade.
    1. Gillette Rubie Plantinum. This blade has tied the Sputnik Teflon Coated easily in my mind. Very smooth. I could barely feel the sharpness but it mowed whiskers like a boss.
    2. Personna Lab Blue. For a lovely balance for smoothness and sharpness. What treat!
    3. Astra SP. For the sharpness and mid range smoothness, longevity of the blade.
    3. Feather Hi Stainles. I have another tie between the Astra and the Feather. Reason being the Astra has a long life span for me but the Feather has raw cutting power if somewhat irritating a little more on the first pass but smoothed out nicely on my subsequent passes.
    4. Super Platinum. This blade got tied up in the fourth place with the Gillette 7'Clock SP. I was impressed by it's performance. Nice combo of sharpness/smoothness.
    4. Gillette 7'Clock SP. Pretty good blade with mid range sharpness. The two before it had better performance IMO.
    5. Gillette Super Thin Platinum. A rather enjoyable blade that gave me 4 good uses of smooth shaving with a nice degree of sharpness.
    5. Super Platinum. After reviewing my comments on the blade, I decided it deserved a spot in the top five for a tie with the Gillette Super Thin Platinum.
    6. Gillette Nacet Stainless. Nice smoothness and sharpness. For me, it didn't stand out against the crowd but I did like it for the time I did use it.
    7. Supermax Superior Platinum. Mid grade on smoothness and sharpness. The previous four still stand out in my mind after so long. But this one stood out enough to get into my top five. ( Now with more uses of different blades, it's not as good as I thought )
    8. Derby Extra Stainless. It gave a good run as a smooth blade.
    9. Voshkod. The blade was smooth but it didn't last long for me. Sharpness is not near Sputnik IMO.
    10. NEW Lord Platinum Class. Smooth, comfortable. Sharp enough to get the job done. Not a top five but definitely worth considering for future purchases.10. Shark. It gave decent shaves but it wasn't nothing spectacular for me.
    11. Kroma Stainless. About the same performance as the Sharp Hi Chromim Durable. Two uses. Toasted. Ok performance.
    11. Sharp Hi Chromium Durablade. An ok blade. Not stellar but it was ok for the first use and barely made it through the second use.
    11. Ladas Super Stainless. It wasn't a favorite of mine. Certain parts of my face/head where other blades excelled overall, this one was tuggy. Low grade for me on sharpness/smoothness.
    12. Rapira Platinum Lux. Same as the Ladas blade but the smoothness on it was a tad bit better. The sharpness was pretty good but I had mixed feelings on the blade.
    13. Perma Sharp Super. Very smooth and comfortable with decent sharpness. But only good for one use.
    14. BiC Chrome. Very sharp, mid range smooth. Very irritating blade.
    15. Treet. Just did not work out for me. Not really that sharp, not really that smooth either.

Today's event: Three pass head shave
    Gear Used:
    Razor: RazoRock Slant German 37
Blade: Super Tian Li Blue Blades
    Brush: 25mm full moon knot (https://www.etsy.com/shop/TurnNShave )
    Soap: Maggard's Leather & Tobacco
Aftershave: Gentleman Jon's Alum Block followed by Stirling Unscented Glacial

Random pull gave me the Super Tian Li Blue Blade for tonight's three pass head shave. While it was decently smooth, it felt a little resistant to cutting the hair. So sharpness level isn't quite there and was a little on the uncomfortable side. Lots of buffing still resulted in going a lot of clean up passes just to get a decent shave. Not quite liking this blade compared to the other's thus far.

Did my second use of the Super Tian Lie Blue blade. I barely made it through the shave as it started to drag about halfway through and not that comfortable. Got a decent shave out of it but for me, it wouldn't be a keeper. The quality degraded in just two shaves.

    Gear Used:
    Razor: RazoRock Slant German 37
    Blade: Rapira Swedish Supersteel
    Brush: 25mm quarter moon knot (https://www.etsy.com/shop/TurnNShave )
    Soap: Maggard's Leather & Tobacco
    Preshave: Sweet Almond Oil
Aftershave: Gentleman Jon's Alum Block Nivea Sensitive After Shave Balm

Busted out the Rapira Swedish Supersteel and it did much better than it's previous Rapira blades. Three passes was all that was needed for a smooth and comfortable experience with this blade. :)

The second shave went without a hitch. Smooth and very comfortable. I'm putting this blade up there in the higher tier blades. Liking it very much.

The third use of the blade showed that it had met it's end. Got tuggy towards the end but finished it. Nice blade. Time for a ranking.

    Blade: Dorco Prime Platinum
Brush: Quarter Moon Custom Brush TurnNShave
    Soap: Oleo Musk

First use of the Dorco blade has found me really, really, really liking this blade. Effortless mowed down my spikey 3 day growth. Smoooth and sharp nicely balanced. Mild irritation in a few spots but darn good!!!

Shave two with the Dorco blade has smoothed out very nicely. Not having any issues with it at all. Alum block only gave mild indications of irritation at the back of the neck. This sucker might contend with the top three if this goes well for a few more rounds.

First initial impressions. Nice! Much better than previous Treet blades that I've tried. It was sharp enough to take down a four day growth on my noggin'. Smooth shave with a little buffing needed. Overall, pretty good blade for a first impression!

Second use of the Treet blade is still very much like the first use. Smooth and sharp. It's proving to be a good blade thus far. Mild irritation to the back of my head but probably just a wrong angle. Having a blast and almost done with all the donated blades!

The third use of the Treet blade is showing some signs its slowing down a bit. Took a little more buffing on the nothing to get the stubble down. Had a few weepers due to raised bumps but it's all good. :) let's see if number four keeps the same quality or if it's the bin for the Treet.
