December 30 Day Focus

My focus will center on two pieces of equipment: my 58 Executive and my Stirling Kong.

I plan to use the adjustable executive beginning on 4 and working up to 9. I will start with the Gillette Silver Blue and later in the month try several others including Ladas and maybe even the feather.

The Kong will be used to determine whether I like it significantly better than the AOS badge all of November. Comparison will be in how easy they both lather and most importantly how it feels on the face. Hoping it will provide a better feel than the AOS.

Soaps will be rotated through a bunch of samples as well as some of my favorites. I plan to place an order at some point for some TSD soaps so I can more fully participate in TSD Sunday. Aftershaves will also be rotated and hopefully will be getting some new ones for Christmas this year.

I have stated that for December I am going to use a different razor, blade, brush, and soap or cream for every shave. I am amending this slightly as the razors and blades will only be used for touch ups. I plan on using my straight razors for the first passes. I also, like @Bama Samurai owe @Darkbulb a review of the De Fitch, so therefore will do my first full shave with that razor. Other than that I plan on much Shenanigans and general Tom Foolery.

 

Good, I am glad my plan coincides with others' experience. It happens. Rarely.

Has anyone ever considered what lies in the dark recesses of this guys' mind?

I mean, anyone who can concoct a program like that - for shaving - makes me just sit here and wonder what would happen if that brain was unleashed on the rest of society.

 

My December 30 day focus will be on using only Schick A,B,C Repeating Razors. Ive only ever used a couple of them once, so this should give me time to get to know them better and maybe determine which model I prefer.
I'll be using Chinese Schick blades exclusively and one of my homemade preshave oils daily. Brushes will be badger and different each day (in an attempt to get NoV out of my head).
Outside of Tabac Tuesday, I will be focusing on UK creams (TOBS, St James, T&H, Castle Forbes)
I think this will give me the variation I need (after NoV). I'll post a photo of the gear once I receive my type A schick (hopefully this week).

 

The dark recesses of my mind are perfectly safe. Nothing to see there folks, move along. My last therapist would agree though this is the last picture I have of him just before he crashed through the door screaming.
