Congrats on the 30 days and the excellent shaves you are getting. Getting that technique down means you can pick up about anything and get a decent shave (except maybe some of the stuff Neal shaves with that prohibits anyone from getting a good shave). Looking forward to your next focus and the pictures with the 1924!

Sure it does; 12/31/15 is clearly not in 2016. :taunt002:

    Dec 31 Shave 2.22

Last focus shave of the month and the last shave of the year. I wanted an epic shave so today was my beloved 2011 Mühle R41 loaded with a Super Iridium blade. I wanted to compare the AdP with Razorock XXX so the XXX is up today. I like the AdP (original) better but the XXX is a better lather. Not sure if I would but this in the top tier or not, I do prefer the lather from Mudder Focker. That said the XXX does smell good.

Four passes with the R41 and no blood and very smooth. The alum gave just the slightest tickle so I fell just sort of epic shave. Long lasting BBS. This is my reference razor/blade combo and it is the goal I am trying to reach with straights.

I had exactly the same thoughts on your picture. It just looks like something out of the 40's or 50's to me. I really like it.

I have tried two of the aftershave. They are cheap, and not super moisturizing, but they smell pretty good. The Lustray were described to me as a cheap aftershave formula with very little staying power. They were intended for barbers to use to make someone feel good when they left the shop, then wear off quickly. I am looking forward to using them all.

These razors were made by an American company that was later purchased by W.R. Case and Sons. Both sets of scales are celluloid. The multi colored one is a very small blade, with a lot of tarnish. The Art Deco green scales are cool, and the razor seems to be in good shape. I plan on cleaning them up and using them next year.

    New Year’s Eve Shave
    Thursday, December 31, 2015

King Cobra with Triad Aristocrat Ti
    Feather Pro Super #7
    Druida Barberpole Manchurian
    Acqua Di Parma
Alum, Witch Hazel +Menthol, Whipped Shea Butter
    Chilled Proraso Aftershave +Menthol
    BB 1818

Outstanding super close BBS shave today. This my last shave of 2015 and the last shave for this Feather Pro Super blade. Loaded in the Cobra it gave me 7 of the closest shaves I've had this month. All the hype about ADP proved correct. This Italian soap is a high performer with an outstanding scent. Finished the shave year with some very cold Proraso Aftershave.
Have a good New Year's Eve everyone.

Shave 6 f the month? Maybe, allegedly, possibly, who knows at this point.

5 days growth and a de want going to cut it for a quick one pass shave before a movie. Grabbed my freshly honed new straight. Going to see if my honing skills have improved.

One pass with the straight and this is a decent shaver. Probably needs a little more time on the finishing stone but for one pass to knock down the hairs it did well.

I have not. I have one more shave with the executive tomorrow and will decide then whether to continue with it or what razor(s) to move on to for January.
