Funny, I know a few people who would just say that I was being pedantic.

The interchangeability is both a blessing and a curse at times. The big problem is that certain versions of the New (especially, the New SC) can be sensitive to what cap is being used. It appears that, during the 1930s, Gillette made some definite changes to the inner radius and corner tabs which make certain combinations rougher than others.

Speaking of which... tomorrow's shave will likely be an experiment to see if the New Deluxe Tuckaway which gave me issues in OCtober might be tamed with a cap swap. It should be interesting...

 

The multi quote was a necessity. I had to get caught up and dinner done before Maya arrived home.

 

This shave is self explanatory. Just decadent. Fathers brush loves the Williams, and vice versa. The Canadian Shick (CS) from now on , did the job in 1 pass with cleanup. Used cold water this time.... Just to see what everyone is raving about , and surprisingly I liked it. Polo topper and I'm feeling great.

Let us see now, a morning 3x3 shave with only a small weeper below the lip. Just under a week to go and I guess if I would have not went over my lower lip 4 or 5 times I would have had a near perfect shave. I tried to get just above the chin a little closer, and I did. Ya know, it didn't last any longer than the other parts of the face, so it was just a waste of time and effort. I had to try it any way, so...
I am getting quicker at finishing, shaved off about 5 minutes and I'm not even trying to speed up. Now doing a 3 pass face and a 3 pass head shave takes time, if done right.
The 3rd pass is the finish round. I get great results just doing 2 passes, but the 3rd pass is the one that smooths it all out. I think 3 passes is the default from now on, no matter what razor I might use.
The big thing that keeps surprising me is the way my skin feels. I mean, my skin feels softer and looks clearer than any time I remember. This just blows my mind that it isn't tearing up my skin, it's making my skin feel and look better. Would have never in a million years beleived that would happen.
24 days doing a 3x3 every morning with the R41 and a new feather blade each day. You think that would of sent me to a doctor for pain relief, but just the oppisite happened.
So, thats where I'm at.

Aftet shaving, Yes I have, but it irritates my face, even the non alochol type. I splash well with cold water then slather on the Nivea. I do splash on the witch hazel at night before bedtime, I shave in the morning. Like I said above, the way my face is doing, I don't think I need it. It feels and looks good amazingly good.
